More dancing

Here is another picture of Lauren in dancing. She absolutely loves music.
Here she was clapping after a couple got done with their dance.

Dancing

Lauren loves to watch Dancing With the Stars with me. I was able to get this video of her dancing on my phone. Pay no attention to the nerdy mom who won't shut up in the background. :)

Silver Creek Falls Video

We made another trip up to Silver Creek Falls recently and here is a video of Lauren playing around. She had a great time running around!

I have to also add that I didn't know Adam was recording, so I was being my nerdy self.

Puddle Jumping

Today while I was working, Adam took Lauren down to the steel yard to see family. They were outside walking around and Lauren found her first puddle to splash in.

Loving Life

Lauren adores her Daddy. She likes to point out and say all of our facial features and she is not always gentle about it.
Is this not one of the funniest pictures ever? Lauren LOVES to put on/play with glasses and she has Glamma's (Adam's mom) glasses on here. I guess it's a good thing she likes glasses because she will probably end up wearing them. We try to have Glamma over for dinner or just to hang out at least once a week.
I got a new phone and we were playing around with the camera before bedtime last night. I thought this was a cute pic of the two of us.

I can not believe Lauren is getting so close to being 2 years old. It's going by so fast. She brings so much joy and happiness to my life. Sometimes Adam and I try to remember what we did before she was around and that seems like such a long time ago or we can't even remember what we did...all in a good way don't get me wrong. It's hard to imagine if things would have gone the other way. She always will be our miracle girl!

Random Happenings

Lauren is constantly on the move! I wish I had half of her energy. She is very good about playing with her toys and of course loves when we join in too. She loves to play with her Doodle-pro (magnetic writing board) she got for Christmas. She writes on the board with her left hand most of the time and holds her spoon in her left hand too. I am pretty sure she is going to be left handed. She just seems to do things better with her left hand. I think at least one new word comes out of her mouth every day. My favorite word that she says right now is "broccoli." Lauren still has a love for books that I envy. I've never been a huge reader, but my daughter loves books more than anything. I swear she says "read a book" and then runs over to the books and grabs one. We probably read at least 3-5 books per day. We still have cuddle/reading time before bed and I hope this always continues to be something that she enjoys. I had to snap the picture fast! She was trying to escape!
Spaghetti is just too much fun for dinner!
Lauren loves to take items off the bottom pantry shelf and stack them. Unfortunately for her, she can no longer do this because there is a lock on the door.
Don't judge me...yes, this is my daughter laying on the floor watching cartoons in the morning. We enjoy lazy mornings around here, so she gets to watch cartoons/play and we get to drink coffee.
And again, no judging--this picture was taken after breakfast and I didn't wipe her face *gasp* before she got down from her chair. I couldn't resist taking a picture of her riding her pony. Great Uncle Steve got this for her 1st birthday and she absolutely loves it!

Zoo Trip 2/3/11

A couple of weeks ago we took advantage of me having an extra day off at work and we traveled up to the zoo. It was a little chilly...I'm not sure if it even hit 50 that day, but we all bundled up and stayed warm. We took Lauren's stroller and we also let her get out and run around. She is getting more and more independent and not wanting to be in her stroller. She wants to get out and run around! Go figure! We were there on a Thursday which is was great because there was barely anyone there so we felt comfortable letting her loose. She slept for about 10 minutes on the drive up and she did great despite no nap. As you can guess, she CRASHED on the way home. I think her favorites were the fish and the otters. She ran up right up to the fish and yelled "fishies" really loud then proceeded to wave and say "hi." It just about made me cry. The otters were showing off for us too which she loved. You can walk right up to the glass on their tank and they were doing back-flips off the glass right in front of us and Lauren laughed really hard at them. I know that I mentioned she waved and said hi to the fish, but she did this to EVERY animal we saw. It was so sweet
Here are the otters showing off.
So happy to see the fish!
Daddy showing Lauren the black bear.
Here's Lauren waving and saying hi. I think this was to the giraffe.
