Pictures Pictures

Here's another picture of Lauren being happy as usual.
She was so proud that she stole Cooper's ball from him. Poor dog...
Her we are watching Dora the Explorer again. She actually watches the show and it cracks me up every time. I know kids shouldn't watch too much TV, but it's cute and it helps me get a few things done without having to take a break every 2 seconds to check on her or remove her from somewhere she shouldn't be.

I think those are all of the most recent and cute pictures. Lauren is still doing really well. Only the 1 cold and she is starting to walk along things and try to move from object to object. She also seems to try and let go of what she is holding onto and stand, but she just ends up on her bottom. Good thing there's a fluffy diaper there right? I think she is about 19 pounds. She just had a growth spurt and grew out of a bunch of her clothes and all but 1 warm sleeper so I had to try and find some fleece sleepers for her. Let me tell you...fleece sleepers in spring are not the easiest thing to find! Thank goodness for Nordstrom! :) Too bad I hate going in there--haha yeah right, I love that store and Lauren will too I'm sure. We don't go back to the doctor until after her 1st birthday which is May 20th. I can not believe she is almost 1 year old. I need to get things going for her birthday party. YIKES!

Camera Fun

I was having fun taking pictures today and decided to play with the camera and change the colors. I love black and white photo's so they are!

Above: Lauren was enjoying a snack today
Such a cheesy grin. She was practicing walking along the coffee table.
Daddy & Lauren at her morning nap today.
Not sure what to say about this picture. She was just being cute.

She bonked her head and was crying so Daddy had to save her. I love these two people so much!

Fun With Daddy

Adam took this while I was gone yesterday. Lauren now loves to stand up in her kid-box. We've always called it a "kid-box" because Adam could never remember what it was actually called, a "play yard."
Adam was showing Lauren how to put the circles on the tower. She is very focused! haha
Daddy helping hold the tower for her.
Adam showed her how to do it and she seemed to somehow understand it. Most of the time she loves to just dump them off the tower and crawl around with one in her hand and try to eat it.
Typical--she loves to have her hair brushed. We call it "brush your fuzzies" and we have a little song we sing every night after her bath when we brush her hair.

Mischief...

She found the stash of paci's!
Watching Dora is a pretty normal thing around here in the mornings.
Yes that is our garbage can. And yes, our child loves to look at the pretty baby who she sees in it. Don't get too grossed out...I do make sure and wash the outside all the time.
GUILTY! She's learning early not to mess around with Daddy because he will 'cuff you! Look at her face...she's so innocent right?
She likes to crawl over to the TV and see what's on TV. She also loves to try and change the channel on the cable box and eject the DVD's out of the PS3 and Wii. She's actually pretty good at getting the DVD's out of the PS3. We are trying to "discipline" her by just telling her "no" and taking her away and distracting her with something else. I read somewhere that at her age they can tell the difference in your tone of voice and learn that they are not supposed to whatever it is they are doing. Seems like sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Lauren & Cousin Nick

My sister Kelly and my nieces and nephew came down for a visit a few weeks ago and I snapped some pictures of Lauren & Nick playing around. These 2 absolutely love each other and have a lot of fun.
She's showing off her sit ups.
Pulling on Nick's ear.
Looks like it hurts a bit, eh? If you're on the receiving end when Lauren gets a hold of something be prepared for a fight. She is one strong kid!
Lauren was crawling to my sister.

It's been a while since I've blogged, so I'm going to post a whole bunch of pictures. I don't think anyone will mind. ;)

More Hiking

We went for another hike/car ride to get out of the house on Sunday April 11th. We went up by the North Fork this time. It was pretty cold and windy that day so we weren't out of the car too much, but I think we all still had a pretty good time. And YES...we have a camo jacket for our daughter. Daddy is a hunter so it was a must have.
It's hard to tell in this picture (if you click on the picture it will open a bigger picture in a new window) but Lauren is smiling and having fun while Daddy took her into the little creek with the dogs.
Lauren was making funny faces. :)
She was obsessed with my hat!
Lauren is rockin' the camo jacket & purple pants! Woot woot!

Lauren's Truck/Easter

Lauren's Papa (my dad) bought her this truck a while ago and she is finally really enjoying it. It plays "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "Do You Know the Muffin Man" and she LOVES listening to them. While I'm getting her bath ready for her at night I let her crawl around her room and she usually goes straight for the truck now. She tries to crawl up on it and push the buttons to start the songs.

She has loves to explore under our kitchen table. She loves to grab the chairs and pull herself to her knees. She is also trying to pull herself up already! She managed to pull herself up to her feet the other night in her crib. I'm not sure if she had any clue what she was doing though because she was super tired. She hasn't quite made it all the way back up to her feet again, but she sure is trying.

We had a great Easter, even though Adam spent it working. Lauren and I went to my Aunt Pat's house and she kept everyone entertained. I didn't get any pictures of her in her cute Easter outfit because she fell asleep in it before I got her in the car seat and when she woke up she wanted to crawl around and it got caught under her, which made her frustrated so I changed her into some pants. She had loads of fun crawling under the table and the living room. My Aunt Pat and Uncle Mike had Lauren laughing and smiling up a storm. It was a great time with family.
