She also got her seasonal flu, H1N1 and RSV shots in the beginning of December. We are very glad she is protected against these. She will get an RSV shot once a month through March. RSV is a virus that causes infection in the lungs/breathing passages. Almost all kids have had it by the time they are 2 years old. Babies born at less than 36 weeks have a significantly higher risk of a getting a severe case; as well are babies who have health problems. Most kids don't get much more than just a cold with it, but for preemies, hospitalization is a threat. Lauren has not been sick at all so far this flu/cold season. We are very careful about taking her out and making sure people that she is around aren't sick. Every time we are at a doctor's office or hospital I shiver at the thought of all the germs around. Well...I'm going to take advantage of Lauren being asleep right now and make some dessert for after dinner!
We will go back for another weight/development check in a month.
